Heal That Pain In Your Neck...Holistically! Part 1
Do you have chronic neck pain or recurring stiffness in your neck that seems to wax and wane, but never quite goes away?
Your body is manifesting this pain and stiffness sensation for a reason. It is your job to get curious and wonder what the root cause could be so you can truly heal.
One common cause for pain and stiffness in this area is repetitive movements. Repetitive movements like working on your phone and looking down for too long, working at your computer and hunching forward, or any job where you’re using your hands a lot and concentrating.
It’s easy to forget posture under these circumstances, and the forward movements put a lot of strain on the neck.
Another huge cause for neck stiffness and pain is stress. I’ll never forget when I was under a lot of stress with a family situation, I caught myself waking up in the middle of the night with my shoulders up near my ears and very tense in a ball.
It was during this time that I also had very intense and chronic neck pain where I couldn’t move my neck very much and it lasted for months.
The first part of healing your neck is to do stretches and strengthening exercises to create balance in your body so the stiffness and pain can release.
